However, the advent of mooshika kings and their interference, has virtually destroyed all the assets of the warriyam and also the Bhadrakali temple the Goddess of the people of the village. What now remains is only the Siva temple.

Despite the best effort of the ancestors of the warriyam, they could not renovate the temple and what ever was done were not in accordance with the thanthrik and manthrik requirements.Consequently day by day Sree Badrakali's wrath increased and the people of the village suffered untimely death, accidental death, infertility, quarrel and destruction of
families.

Even though the eminent astrologer late Sri Kakkamkovil Krishna warrier has started the work of renovating the Badrakali temple, he could not complete the work during his life time. After his death, his son Jyothisharathnam,Jyothishavachaspathi Govinda Warrier, with the blessing of Kakkamkovilappan and Sree Rajarajeswara taken up the task of maintenance of kakkamkovil temple and building of Sri Badrakali temple.Despite continuous obstacles with the single minded and concentrated efforts Sri Govinda warrier thus able to renovate to "Nagalaya",(snake temple),and Sree Badrakali temple in a matter of two years. The temple, after performing the thanthrik and manthrik rituals, was open to the devotees all over the world on 4th February 2011(1186 Makaram 21),Friday in early morning.

The next stage is the renovation of Sree Kakkamkovil temple for which and expenditure of approximately at Rs.2 crores is expected. The Lord Mahadeva desires that this is done by the involvement and active participation of all the devotees of the Lord all over the world.
